Our services include wellness exams, vaccinations, treatment of medical conditions (infections, injuries, allergies, wounds, etc.) microchipping, tick-borne disease testing, heartworm testing, fecal analysis and deworming. Our surgical services include advanced wound repair, hernia repairs, spays, neuters and mass biopsies/removals. We also offer state of the art dental cleaning and dental extractions. TOVS also performs microchipping for all animals using the AVID microchip system. Did you know that every two seconds a pet is lost! The system works by simply injecting a tiny microchip just under the skin. If you pet is lost and turned into an animal shelter or animal control officer, they scan the pet for the unique ID number and then call AVID’s 24 hour hotline (800 336 2843) to identify the owner. TOVS charges $64 to implant the chip and then you pay a one- time fee of $19.95 to register your pet, enrolling your pet in PETtrac for your pet’s lifetime. Call us to schedule this life-saving procedure.
Our surgery suite features state of the art anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices. All anesthetized animals are monitored for body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen content of the blood, heart rate and rhythm. In addition, all animals are catheterized and iv fluids are administered.
TOVS has a top of the line new dental unit with a piezo-electric dental scaler, the best method for removing tartar in a safe, efficient manner. We offer affordable dental cleaning, polishing and fluoride treatment as well as dental extractions (extra fee) when needed along with dental care counseling and dental care products. We offer affordable dental care with our standard dental cleaning prices starting at $275/cat, $300/dog.
NEW TESTING AVAILABLE: Detecting Kidney Disease
In their lifetime, over 1 in 3 cats and 1 in 10 dogs will get kidney disease. Worse, they typically show no signs of illness until their kidneys have lost most of their function permanently. As pets age, the likelihood pets will develop kidney disease worsens. In fact, more than half of cats over age 15 are afflicted. Now the IDEXX SDMA test, a breakthrough new kidney disease screening test available through Tally Oaks Veterinary Service, can detect this serious disease months to years earlier, when there is still time to do something about it.
